Have you ever felt stuck in a rut? Like you’re doing the same things over and over and there is no difference. Then you wake up one morning and you realize, “It’s time to make a change!”
But, you can’t make that change by yourself and you have no idea where to start! Does this sound familiar? I have been there.
About a year ago I decided I had to make a change. I had known Kelly McCausey for many years and knew that she offered a “Stretch Yourself Challenge” every year in September.
I decided to take a leap and sign up for the challenge. I wasn’t sure what I was in for. However, I knew many of the people that were in the challenge and they had said that in the past this challenge had really grown their businesses.
I made the decision to go all-in!
- I read through the manual that Kelly provides.
- I strategically picked the challenges that would help my business grow.
- I participated in coaching groups.
- I listened to or watched the replay of the live calls.
- I posted in the forum.
The results were amazing!
My Personal Results
First of all, I came away with some great relationships. These women are still supporting me in my efforts today. Not just in my business, but in my personal life as well.
Here are a few things I came away with:
- I became very clear on a new direction I wanted to go in my business.
- I made intentional connections that led to new business.
- I decided to re-design my website and get a new logo (no more website shame).
- I reached out to former clients and received glowing testimonials that also led to new clients.
- And much more…
I am participating in the Stretch Yourself Challenge again this year. I am all in again. The key to success is to set your own pace and be your own competition.
This year I am working on content marketing and visibility. I have participated in coaching triads which have led to new friendships and great ideas!
I have really enjoyed posting in the forums and giving and receiving support from my fellow challengers.
Stretch Yourself Challenge Self-Study
Every year the Stretch Yourself Challenge is held live in September. However, Kelly offers a self-study option that you can choose to join in year-round.
Are you ready to make a change? Are you tired of feeling like your all alone? I recommend the Stretch Yourself Challenge because it helps you make changes fast. And, even with the self-study option you can still post and get help in the forum!
Make a change today. Join the Stretch Yourself Challenge. And when you do, message me in the forum and I will support you!
Lu… you are a shining example of always being all in when you’re ready. Watching you stretch and grow is a joy for me!
Thanks for sharing your experience 🙂
Kelly, I appreciate you believing in me! That is one of many reasons I’ve been able to stretch and grow. Thank you so much ❤.

Great Job on the decision to go all-in. I love the Stretch Yourself community. Great job on the new layout of your web-site.
Thank you so much, Amanda! I am very happy with it ☺.

I have enjoyed watching you stretch, Lu. When you go all in, you go all in and it’s awesome to see the results. Great to have you back again this year 🙂
Thank you, Tish! Maybe next year we can be on the same team ☺.
I love the “Repeat Offender” label! 🙂
You’ve inspired me to take a look at the rest of the challenges, as I, too, want to redesign my website (I laughed at the “no more website shame”!)
Your website looks great, BTW! I love how you’ve displayed the testimonials, too!
Thank you, Suzanne! I believe the website info is in the pre-challenge part of the manual.

It’s powerful when we realize we need to change what’s going on in our businesses, even more so when we decide to reach out for support! As solopreneurs we tend to do it all, alone. But community like in the SYC is so important! I’m glad to be in that community with you, watching you move your business forward, showing up as YOU.
Thank you so much, Jennifer! That means a lot to me ❤. I appreciate all the help you’ve given me.
Luanna, I love how you jumped right into all the activities in the SYC. It’s exciting that you came away with clarity about a new direction to go with your business. That’s a huge accomplishment. You’ve accomplished a tremendous number of things so far and we still have a lot of time left. From a new direction to intentional connections, from a website design to a new logo, you are unstoppable. This is just the beginning and I know there is so much more in store for you! To your success!
Thank you, Tara! Truth be told, the website was in last year’s achievements ☺. But, I have accomplished a lot this year.
I like working with repeat offenders like you, LOL! Working on challenges along side other like-minded business people who have the same desire to achieve and do more is definitely win-win. Congratulations on your achievements and wishing you many more.
Thank you so much, Lynn! I like working with like minded people too!

Luanna, I love your blog post and description of jumping into the Stretch Yourself Challenge. Your Repeat Offender phrase made me laugh out loud!!
Keep stretching and growing. It’s not always easy, but you just keep coming back and doing. I really admire that and admire you–you’re full of knowledge and intuition!
Can’t wait to see how far this next year of stretches takes you, too. I know the momentum of the Stretch Yourself Challenge month will propel you forward.
I sure appreciate you, Melissa! You have been one of the reasons I’ve been able to stretch and grow ❤.

Coming away “with some great relationships,” like making intentional connections, is a feat that would carry you through your future undertakings. Add to that more clarity in your direction (not to mention your cool logo and testimonials), that’s a big win. Congratulations and I look forward to more milestones!
You are sweet, Maria! Thank you for your thoughtful response. Supporting relationships really mean a lot at this point in my life ❤.

“First of all, I came away with some great relationships.” I like how you put the relationships at the top of your list. I do believe that those relationships are a huge contributing factor to the success of this challenge, year after year. Congrats on being a “repeat offender!”
The relationships really mean a lot to me, Teresa! I have made the kind that support me in all aspects of my life. For that I am very grateful!
Cindy Rushton says
I love it! I am a “repeat offender” as well! I got soooo much done last year that I did not even think twice about joining in this year. There is something about this particular challenge that sets it apart from all of the others. I am so excited to see all that you accomplish this month. I am cheering you on! 🙂
You are so wonderful, Cindy! I am so thankful for the opportunity I had to meet you in person! I’m glad we are both “repeat offenders.” ☺
Lori Winslow says
First, I love the stretching girl graphic :).
It is about more than just growing your business, the relationships you can build in this month alone are amazing, and with the private forum access, they can easily continue into the future.
Lori, thank you for loving the stretching girl graphic! I really liked that one too! I think the triads really help cement those long term relationships.
Gabby Conde says
Wow, Luanna, that’s great to hear how the challenge stretched you and gave you clarity and new business! Creating new relationships is the best especially in the SYC and Kelly’s supportive community. 🙂
I agree, Gabby! Some of the most supportive relationships I have made have been through Kellly’s community.
Dr Renee Cohn Jones says
So excited to be a “Repeat Offender” with you! Hadn’t thought of it that way, but now I will. 😉 You are so inspiring (starting with no website shame) and set such a great model for the rest of us with how you jumped “all in.”
Looking foward to see all you accomplish this year!
My kids thought it was hilarious when I wrote, “repeat offender.” 🤣 I haven’t always been able to jump all in. So, a lot of times I will wait until I actually can. This year my goal has been to be a finisher. And, that has been good enough ☺. I’ve learned I have to just compete with myself.
Kelly Crompton says
Having no idea where to start – or even what questions to ask – YES! You are so right that this community helps with everything. And how terrific to learn that the relationships you built last year continued even after the live challenge. I’m looking forward to having the same experience.
I hope you have the same experience as well. The key is to reach out to those people you want to continue relationships with. This community is very welcoming and willing to help!
Val Selby says
I was totally doing the same thing over and over this year. I know it’s because of the year, but I was just stuck in rinse and repeat…boredom. Thank goodness for committing to the challenge and stretching.
I agree with you, Val! This has been one heck of a year. The challenge has come at a perfect time to get us all out of that rut.
Robin Smith says
Enjoyed your graphics in the post. So how are you changing your business? I think the challenge is helping me fine-tune my business and target market.
Thank you, Robin! I have completely gone to just being a social media strategist. I used to work with Infusionsoft, and I decided that was not the part of my business I loved the most.
Karin Crompton says
“No more website shame” — oh yeah, that hits home! (And hooray for the content refresh challenge.) I love seeing your sense of humor in this post and I’m so glad you’re back again this year. The group has a little more sparkle when you’re in it. 🙂
Karin, you are just the sweetest! You have a way of making me feel good about myself. Thank you so much ❤!
Paul Taubman says
You had me at , “I made the decision to go all-in! ” I can’t imaging you NOT going All-In! LOL
Oh, and I love reading your comments and insights in the forum! Thank you so much for that.
Paul, you are just the best! You are so much fun! I love the wisdom you have brought to the challenge this year ❤.
Anita Hampl says
Your level of involvement and encouragement in the SYC forum is fabulous. The energy you add is representative of the best that Kelly always seems to find and nurture through events like SYC. Keep stretching!
Anita, thank you so much! That is the sweetest complement! I have really enjoyed getting to know you through the forum and live sessions ❤.
