I often work in other people’s Infusionsoft App’s. One of the first things clients say to me when they hire me is, “I don’t know what any of my tags mean!” So, the first thing we work on is an Infusionsoft tag strategy.
How do you avoid not knowing what your tags mean? By having a tag strategy. In Infusionsoft and Keap it is extremely important to have a tag naming strategy. And, it’s never too late to start one.
Let’s start by keeping it simple. Here are 3 simple tips to help you create your Infusionsoft tag naming strategy.
- Each tag needs to have a category – A tag category is how you organize and group tags inside of Infusionsoft.
- When you create a tag, write a description for that tag – There is a description box that yo
u can write for each tag. Be specific in that box as to what the tag is for. For example, maybe you met a group of people at an event and you want to tag them specifically. In the description box, put the name, date and lo
- cation of the event.
- Name the tag, campaign and product all the same name – When possible using the tag name for your product and campaign makes everything run much smoother. It’s a lot easier to search for all 3 and you’re never confused as to which product goes with which tag or campaign.
These 3 tips can save you a whole lot of frustration, and time, in the long run!
